Welcome to my Physics of Sports Video page. This project was about taking an action of a sport, such as serving in tennis, and breaking it down into its steps and finding the physics in each step. We had around three days to plan our project and then a week to film and record all of the scenes in our video. After this, we had to compile these scenes into a smooth video explaining how to perform a sports action and show the physics behind our reasoning. I hope you enjoy my group's film and that you learn something new about sports.

In our video we addressed multiple physics concepts that you may not know which will be explained here.
Physics Concepts -Velocity: How fast something is moving in a certain direction. -Vertical Velocity: How much velocity something has relative to its vertical motion. -Horizontal Velocity: The velocity of an object relative to its motion in any horizontal direction. -Force: Force is an interaction with a mass that can change its velocity |

After working on this project for around two weeks, I have concluded that filming everything on time and group collaborating are very important yet challenging feats. My group struggled to finish all of our recordings on time because we wanted our video to make sense in chronological order, but also in a sense that made it easy to follow for someone trying to learn physics. Also, it was hard to acquire all of our audio pieces because many times there were little mistakes that would ruin the recording. If given an opportunity, I would like to plan out what needed to be filmed everyday, so we could focus on the task and achieve it quickly. Group collaboration was a problem because it affected us working fluently and productively. Some days we would mess around and not get as much work as possible completed while others we were on task and finished everything. This caused strain on our time management and made finishing everything that much more difficult. If we were to do this project again, I would like to have the group I'm in work together productively and create a calendar so we can set goals for our project.
